The problem. Streetlights and early sun wash out sleep. Renters often cannot replace existing rods or drill new ones, and adhesive film on glass is a different (and messier) job.

What this does. A blackout liner meant to hang from a tension or existing curtain rod behind the decorative curtain. It reduces light; it will not make a room pitch-black if light leaks around the frame. No adhesive on glass.

Questions

Will this make my room completely dark?
Unlikely. Liners help a lot on the fabric area. Light still comes around the frame, through side gaps, and under the rod. For shift sleep, you may still want side coverage or a sleep mask.
Do I need to drill?
Not if you already have a rod, or if you pair this with a tension rod that fits your frame. Check your lease before installing any rod that presses on trim.
Is this the same as window film?
No. This hangs on a rod. Static-cling privacy film is a separate product and goes on glass.
